Gov. Reynolds Signs More Education Bills into Law

 

Dear UEN School Leaders:

Governor Reynolds signed many education-related bills into law on Friday, June 6, including HF 787 TSS (Education Omnibus Bill). The Education Appropriations Bill, Standings Bill, and Sports Wagering Fund Appropriations Bill ($14 million for Education Support Personnel), not yet signed, are still on her agenda for this week, as her deadline for action is June 15.

 

Here is a list of what was signed by the Governor on Friday:

  • HF 189: Nonpublic Student Participation in Public School Athletics
  • HF 395: School Bus Driver Courses
  • HF 706: Open Meetings and Open Records Penalties and Training  
  • HF 784: Governor’s Math Initiative
  • HF 787: TSS Education Omnibus 
  • HF 870: Students in Private Religious Instruction 
  • HF 890: Community College Reporting and Instructor Contracts   
  • SF 175: Pregnancy and Fetal Development Curriculum Content
